The desert jam is a plant of the Orobanchaceae family parasiticous on the steppe saxophone ( Haloxylon ammodendron ). As the name suggests, the plant grows in dry and desert areas. Like other flashes, the desert flashes take the form of a fleshy, green, leafless stem that grows out of the soil and ends in its soukvetí. It is collected and TČM attributed to it effects against fatigue , inflammation , pain and overall protective and adaptive effects on the hormonal system ( Wang2012cdm ). For its widespread use it is called " desert ginseng ". Its main active ingredients are phenylethanoid glycosides. Its glycoside acteoside has androgenic effects ( Wang2012cdm ).
